Here's a piece of welcome news. If you work as a careworker, and you use your own car to traveller to clients homes, then you may well be due a tax refund.
We have found that most careworkers that visit clients use their own vehicles, furthermore we have found that the majority are not reimbursed by their employer at the published rates allowed by HM Revenue & Customs.
So what does that mean for you? We can make a claim for you in relation to the mileage you have undertaken in the course of your work and these claims can be back dated up to 6 years, in fact any mileage since April 2000 can be allowed.
If you are reimbursed less than 40p/mile then a claim is likely. If you are reimbursed for mileage by your employed but then taxed on that money along with the rest of your pay, then a claim is also possible.
